With more than 14 years’ combined working experience in teaching, research, management and consultancy project locally and internationally (UK, Thailand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia) in the field of Sustainable Environmental Engineering and Management. He has working experience with different institutions, organisations such as University of Western Sydney, NSW; University of Leeds, UK; Asian Institution of Technology, Thailand; Civil Aviation Authority; Sindh Environmental Protection Agency; Industries (Kerry Food Industries, UK, KN&S, Pakistan), UNESCAP, WWF and National Rural Support Program (NRSP) internationally in different projects. He completed his doctorate in Engineering from University of Leeds, UK, specialising Civil and Environmental Engineering in Jun 2010 and completed Masters in Environmental Engineering and Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in May 2005. Currently he works as Research Fellow at Western Sydney University and submitted ARC linkage project and LEAF project for more than 1.3 Million A$. He has worked and completed significant research/grant and industrial consultancies projects. So far, he has earned external funded projects of grant more than five hundred and thirty thousand (530,000 A$). He has supervised completed significant number of research projects, which involved over fifty students for their Masters’ research dissertation and one PhD student. His research projects led him to contribute more than 25 research articles in various international and national journals, conferences of international repute, books and reports. His publications have been cited widely among the research community with H-index of 6, 100 citations of the published articles in total and total impact points equal to 12.38. Recently he has completed projects on “sustainable management of water and materials within cellulose manufacturing process”; “production of chicken feed pellets and liquid fertiliser from left-over food waste” and sustainable utilisation of phosphorus within the dairy farm of NSW.
He has excellent experience of batch, continuous stirred tank reactor/digester (CSTR), up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) and two-stage reactors in field and laboratory conditions for agricultural and industrial waste. In 2017, in a funded project of Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Sindh and IUCN, he developed Water Supply and Sanitation Design Manual for Sindh Province, Pakistan.
